As I mentioned in my Ultimate Disney Guide post, packing for the park is a beast and definitely not as simple as checking for the basics and running out the door. I can only imagine if you’re traveling from another location how much more stressful it is making sure you have everything you need for your little one.
I can’t count the number of times we’ve made it to the park only to realize we forgot something major and now we have to scramble to find what we need either in the park or at the nearest target. I will say Disney is really good at keeping most of the essentials at the parks. Every single park has a baby center stocked with nursing areas, microwaves, changing tables and areas to purchase all the baby essentials.
Although these options are available to you, if you’re like me you’d much rather be proactive and make the most out of your trip. So I’m sharing with you my must-haves for a day at Disney!
Diapers, Wipes, Diaper Bags, Disposable Changing Pads, and Aquaphor
I pack double of everything I would normally pack for a day out.
Comfort Items: Pacifiers, Teething Rings, Thin Blanket and Portable White Noise Machine
Packing these items may look different according to your little one’s needs. Currently, we plan a day in the park around Raelynn’s naptime schedule so these aren’t really items I ensure to bring along anymore. When she was much younger (and a much better sleeper) these were things I would toss in the bag so I could just recline her stroller for naptime in the park. It’s totally up to you!
Change of Clothes
Accidents are bound to happen with little ones…especially on days, you think you won’t need a spare outfit.
Snacks
Snacks are a must when traveling anywhere with Raelynn. When she was much younger we would bring formula in a Mixie bottle. Disney also has nursing rooms in the baby center of every park if you would like to nurse in a quiet area. Now that she’s much older we try to keep quick on the go snacks on hand, like goldfish, applesauce, and Smuckers pb&j sandwiches.
Silicone Placemat
This is a product I discovered when Raelynn was really little. It is super convenient to have when your little one is just starting to eat because you can throw little pieces of food on the mat at a time without fearing a thrown plate.
Silicone Straw
As of last year, Disney only provides paper straws on property. So if you’re not a fan of paper straws you definitely should think about snagging a reusable straw. We prefer these silicone straws I picked up on amazon.
Hand sanitizer and Wet One’s Antibacterial wipes
This is pretty self-explanatory if you have a little one that loves to touch everything.
Sunscreen
Always. Always. Always. The Florida sun can be a bear.
Water
The night before we go to the park, we freeze 2-3 bottles of water that way they’re cold the majority of the next day. I also highly recommend the Zak stainless steel water bottles(for kids and adults), they are super affordable and keep water cold for a long time.
Len’s Wipes
This isn’t really an essential, but I love to bring these along to wipe my lens on my phone on camera to take perfect pictures!
Portable Phone Charger
Because nobody likes a dead phone!
Mommy Hook
So this is according to what kind of stroller you are bringing and how much storage it has. We have a full-size stroller that has plenty of storage but it is not always easy to collapse and carry around on the trolleys in the parking lot. We recently bought a lightweight stroller and although it is a lot easier to collapse and carry it doesn’t have a lot of storage space hence why the mommy hook is very beneficial and convenient.
This is mostly everything we try to bring along for a day at Disney. Feel free to share in the comments below any must-have items you bring along for a day at Disney!
XO.
Michelle
